In-Your-Home TUTORING contracts with 25+ tutors who are either certified teachers or subject specialists in mathematics. The Director of In-Your-Home TUTORING has a Ph.D. in Education with over 30 years experience as a teacher, administrator, author, and consultant. Each tutor is interviewed by the Director and only the best candidates are selected to become tutors for the company. The director takes great care in matching the tutor and the student because she knows that it is extremely important that the two of them develop a strong, respectful relationship. If the relationship is strong, the academic success of the student accelerates at a faster rate. Many of our high school students jump ahead two letter grades.
Tutors use the student's school curriculum and, if necessary, will provide supplementation. The school curriculum is used in order to increase the transfer of learning to the classroom setting. For additional assessment information, tutors may confer with the teacher/s in order to further refine the personalized instruction.
Parent or guardians must be present at all tutoring sessions for students under the age of 18.
